Bravehearts is dedicated to empowering overage foster care young adults by providing financial assistance, robust mentorship, and resource support. Our mission is to bridge the gap between foster care and independent adulthood, ensuring that every young adult has the resources and guidance they need to thrive and achieve their full potential.
Our Goals
Empower individuals through educational workshops, skill-building sessions, and leadership training. Encourage personal growth and self-confidence.
Financial Support
Provide grants and scholarships to support young adults with education, housing, and essential expenses while offering financial literacy programs that teach budgeting, saving, and smart financial decision-making.
Educational Assistance
Support access to higher education through tuition assistance and academic counseling while providing resources for continuing education and vocational training.
Mentorship Programs
Pair young adults with experienced mentors who offer guidance, support, and encouragement while facilitating regular workshops and networking events that build community and foster strong relationships.
Life Skills Training
Conduct workshops on essential life skills—such as cooking, time management, and self-care—while offering counseling and mental health resources to support emotional well-being.
Career Development
Assist young adults with job placement, résumé building, and interview preparation while creating partnerships with local businesses to offer internships and job opportunities.
Advocacy and Awareness
Raise public awareness about the challenges faced by overage foster care young adults while advocating for policy changes that strengthen the support systems designed for this demographic.
